diy makeaway is a project from the Swiss Mechatronic Art Society aka Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Mechatronische Kunst, SGMK.
SGMK offers little playful workshops for a broad audience. Experts are teaching practical knowledge and show a creativ and artistic use of technology. SGMK has built a mobile lab with a great variety of tools, instruments, electronic parts, educational kits aswell as some recycled trash for further use.
The whole lab set is mobile and allows us for a flexible use at regional and international festivals or exhibitions to perform workshops. We have been present with the «diy makeaway» at SHIFT Festival 07 and 08 in Basel, at Copy! and Dorkbot in Zürich and also at Café Scientifique in Basel.
